On the Capture of the Striped Platydoras (platydoras Costatus Linnaeus, 1758) in the Lower Dniester

Abstract: One specimen of the striped Raphael Catfish Platydoras costatus was caught in the Dniester River, which was most likely released into the river by a local aquarist. The native range of the fish is South America. The literature describes cases of its discovery in the USA. The habitat conditions in the Dniester River are not favorable for this thermophilic species, therefore, the possibility of its invasion in the region is excluded.
