Abstract: Total solar eclipses are the grandest of personal astronomical phenomena. With decades of solar outreach experience, it was inevitable that my planning for the April 8, 2024, eclipse started years before. Involvement with NASA JPL, NASA’s PUNCH Mission, and the Astronomical Society of the Pacific throughout the Heliophysics Big Year made this total solar eclipse the highlight of a lifetime of astronomy outreach.
