Abstract: One of India's biggest drivers of economic growth today is the IT-BPO sector.By contributing to socioeconomic factors like employment, standard of living, and diversity, this business not only boosts India's economy but also directly and indirectly impacts people's lives.India holds a market share of over 55%, making it the world's top sourcing location (NASSCOM 2017).With a 15.5% compound annual growth rate, the IT-BPO sector generated USD 227 billion in total revenue for the fiscal year 2022 (NASSCOM, 2022).Every year, the Indian BPO sector contributes more to the country's GDP, and in 2021, it will account for more than 7.7% of India's total GDP (NASSCOM 2021).In 2022, the industry directly employs over 5 million people (NASSCOM 2022).The primary value-creators and drivers of this industry's output are its human resources. However, retaining talented and experienced employees is a serious concern in the industry. The present study aims at identifying the effect of employee tenure of employment on dimensions of attrition. The study found a significant difference between employees with different tenures of employment with regard to dimensions of attrition such as heavy workload and stress, unfair compensation, lack of training and career growth, uncongenial organizational culture, work-life imbalance and job related factors.
