Abstract: The article is devoted to the consideration of criteria for the effective application of methods and means of implementing legal ideology. It is indicated that the phenomenon of ideology is considered by various branches of knowledge, but it is of particular importance in relation to legal science and political science. The authors come to the conclusion that the legal ideology is based on the proven spheres of spirituality, it consolidates what the Russian civilization has created better, it occupies an extremely important place in the spiritual life of society, because it is the basis that allows you to get the right guidelines in life, a methodology for obtaining knowledge, skills and abilities.
