Abstract: Many models beyond the standard model predict the existence of new particles with long lifetimes. These long-lived particles decay significantly displaced from their initial production vertex, giving rise to non-conventional signatures in the detector. In this context, dedicated data streams and innovative usage of the CMS detector's capabilities are exploited to significantly enhance the sensitivity of such searches at CMS. We present recent results from searches for long-lived particles and other non-conventional signatures obtained using data recorded by the CMS experiment during the completed Run 2 and the ongoing Run 3 data taking of the LHC.
