Year: 2024
Type: article
Abstract: This integrative review article analyzes the relationship between academic procrastination and academic performance among students of Public Administration, Business Administration, Accounting, and Tourism, using articles from the SPELL repository of ANPAD published between 2014 and 2023. It is observed that scientific 2 production varied over the years, with greater interest in 2020 and 2023, possibly reflecting the impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. Most articles are written by groups of three or four authors and focus on Accounting students and those combining Business Administration and Accounting, indicating a gap in studies on Business Administration and Tourism students. The predominance of quantitative studies and the frequent use of structural equation modeling highlight a preference for methods that analyze complex relationships between variables. It is concluded that academic procrastination is a crucial area of research with significant practical implications, suggesting the need for future research with more varied approaches and diversified samples to enrich the understanding of the phenomena.
