Study Of the In-Vitro Thrombolytic Efficacy Of A Polyherbal Formulation Prepared By Extracts From Various Medicinal Plants
Year: 2024
Type: article
Abstract: The goal of this study was to find out how well a polyherbal formulation made of extracts from different thrombolytically active medical plant parts, such as Allium cepa bulbs and Linum usitatissimum seeds, worked in a lab setting. The mixed plant mixture made up of these two extracts also worked well to break up clots. Proteins, phenols, glycosides, saponins, quinones, flavonoids, volatile oils, alkaloids, and flavonoids were found in hydroalcoholic extracts according to a qualitative phytochemical test. Both plant items may include phytochemicals that have a thrombolytic action. The developed products might significantly impact heart health in underdeveloped nations in dire need of immediate access to affordable and effective therapies. Phytochemical studies of different plant products showed that they all had a number of the same phytochemicals. This suggests that these phytochemicals may be what make the plants able to break up clots in the lab.
