The South China Sea Strategy from the Perspective of Vietnam’ s People’ s diplomacy

Abstract: In today’s context of globalization and international integration, people’s diplomacy is also regarded as an important way to enhance “soft power” and realize diplomatic strategies. Under the combined effect of internal and external factors, Vietnam has made efforts to carry out people’s diplomacy on the “South China Sea issue”. By raising the people’s awareness of maritime rights, implementing diaspora diplomacy, academic diplomacy and other people’s diplomacy initiatives, Vietnam tries to enhance its influence on the “South China Sea issue” through unofficial channels.
