Abstract: At present, under the multiple strategic overlays of the new development pattern, “dual carbon” goals, and new energy systems, the role and position of China’s energy power industry in serving the overall economic and social development is expanding and elevating. Based on the vision of Chinese path to modernization and the construction requirements of a modern industrial system, this paper studies how China’s power industry will evolve from the current fossil energy-based foundation to a new type power system industry chain based on technological innovation. Therefore, it is necessary to forge a path focusing on mastering key core technologies, with the aim of enhancing the resilience and security level of the industry chain and supply chain. High-quality supply and digital infrastructure should serve as driving force, with the interconnection of electricity and various resource elements as a key task. The industrial application of high-tech and commercial model innovation should be developed as the main methods for the rise of China’s energy power industry.
