Abstract: The digitalization of education has emerged as a transformative approach in contemporary teaching, characterized by its convenience, flexibility, and the abundance of available teaching resources. This approach, particularly relevant for students in higher vocational colleges, offers a dynamic and versatile learning experience that aligns with their unique educational needs. The integration of online teaching resources, which allows for flexible class scheduling, has not only broadened access to education but also enhanced the adaptability of learning processes to fit diverse student lifestyles and needs. This paper takes the core course of the railway vehicle major as a case study to explore the application of classical statistical methods in the analysis of course data. It examines the progress and achievements in the digital construction of this course, including the development of digital textbooks, the creation of high-quality online courses, and the digital transformation of experimental teaching practices. By analyzing these elements, the paper provides an in-depth look into how digital tools and resources can be effectively utilized to enhance course delivery and learning outcomes. The findings highlight the success of these digital initiatives and suggest practical insights and strategies for the digital transformation of other courses within the railway vehicle major. The paper aims to serve as a guide for educators and administrators looking to expand the digital footprint of their curricula, offering evidence-based recommendations for leveraging digital technologies to improve educational accessibility, engagement, and effectiveness.
