Abstract: In this research we analyze the discursive behavior of three lexical elements, fabuloso, fantástico and fenomenal, to determine their incidence in the field of evaluation in current Spanish. To do this, we carry out a qualitative analysis of the documentation present in CORPES XXI, which will allow us to elucidate what additional contents to the evaluative content these elements acquire. This is intended to show, on the one hand, that assessment can be used strategically by speakers for other discursive purposes and, on the other, that by paying attention to discursive relationships such as those established in reactive interventions we can enrich our knowledge of the grammatical nature of current Spanish. Methodologically, we depart from the Macrosyntax, model designed by Fuentes Rodríguez (2019, 2020) as the theoretical framework of the research.
