Abstract: With the modern agriculture development, China’s agricultural production system is generally in a “high-carbon” mode. Nowadays, with the continuous emphasis on low-carbon development and environmental protection, China’s rural carbon emissions have become a vital factor restricting the sustainable development of the new countryside, which hinders rural revitalization and the realization of the goal of the “dual carbon”. Based on the current situation of rural areas in China, this paper proposes legal protection suggestions from the perspective of the rule of law around the problems existing in rural low-carbon development, such as serious production pollution, poor infrastructure construction, low proportion of clean energy use, insufficient funds for agricultural development, and weak low-carbon awareness of villagers
