A Case Study on How to Improve Cold Chain Logistics for Specialty Food and Agricultural Products
Year: 2024
Type: article
Abstract: Even with China's continuous progress in cold chain logistics (CCL) and route planning, issues with ensuring food quality still arise, especially when shipping speciality foods and agricultural products in the cold chain. Furthermore, there is a greater need for cold chain transportation as a result of the recent expansion of the markets for specialized foods and fresh agricultural products. However, due to the lack of transportation connection, it is difficult to maintain high quality of some products as part of the transportation process, which leads to difficulties in maintaining the original quality of specialty foods when transported across regions. By analyzing typical cases of cold chain logistics in China, this study delves into the problems in the existing cold chain transportation system and proposes targeted strategies to improve link management and technology application during delivery. Making a cold chain distribution plan that fits China's present business environment is the goal of this study. In order to improve agricultural product quality assurance during transportation, as well as promoting the high-quality development of the sector in China, this entails optimizing resource allocation and technical standards.
