Year: 2024
Type: article
Abstract: The rapid urban development in most Algerian cities has primarily focused on providing housing, often at the expense of other amenities and the human dimension in new built environments. This is particularly evident in the new city of Ali Mendjeli in Constantine, where significant shortcomings in urban facilities have affected residents' utilization of urban spaces. To address these issues, the research explores the potential of employing smart technologies in these spaces. The aim is to propose planning solutions that incorporate modern ideas for humanizing the study area. The research employs an inductive methodology to monitor and analyze the current situation, using a matrix to evaluate the implementation of smart technologies in the city's urban spaces. The study includes both theoretical and applied aspects, and concludes with results and recommendations.
