Year: 2024
Type: article
Abstract: The article considers the theoretical aspects of fostering self-confidence in students through physical education. It is found that the educational process should be focused on solving key tasks, in particular, on building self-confidence in students. Physical education classes play a special role in this, because they create broad opportunities for building self- confidence, introducing innovative content and modern teaching methods. Physical education classes have a wide educational potential, since physical education is aimed not only at physical training, meeting standards, physical development, but also at cultivating the necessary moral and volitional qualities of the individual. Involving students in sports and mass work contributes to: fostering self-confidence, determination, self-control, purposefulness and other moral and volitional qualities of students; forming value orientations regarding their own health; developing emotional stability, endurance, self-control, focus on achieving goals, objectives; developing a strong desire to systematically attend physical education classes and training in the chosen sport, etc. Studying the experience of successful practitioners allows us to draw conclusions that involving students in physical education classes (physical education) in order to effectively foster self-confidence depends on: the implementation of effective pedagogical conditions (training teachers to implement the methodology for fostering self-confidence through physical education; the implementation of pedagogically appropriate content, types and methods of fostering self-confidence in the process of engaging in sports and recreational activities; the organization of competitive work in order to form students' motivation for physical education classes); the use of innovative technologies, content, forms and methods of work in physical education classes.
