Abstract: Overcoming obstacles is a key element of training for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, especially in the context of the full-scale war initiated by Russia against Ukraine in 2022. The aim of this study is a theoretical analysis of the features of physical training for Ukrainian military personnel to overcome various natural and artificial obstacles in combat conditions. The article covers the physical, technical, and psychological aspects of training required to perform combat tasks in various geographic and tactical environments. The study utilizes comparative analysis of the training methods of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and other world armies, along with a synthesis of scientific literature on the physical training of military personnel. The research examines the main physical qualities developed during obstacle course training, including endurance, strength, and coordination, as well as the technical skills necessary for overcoming complex elements in combat situations. Special attention is given to psychological preparation, which includes developing stress resistance and self-control under constant risk. The study found that physical endurance and technical skills are critical for effective combat readiness, while psychological resilience ensures the ability of military personnel to make rapid decisions in stressful situations. The practical value of this work lies in providing recommendations for improving military training programs, particularly through the introduction of new technologies that simulate complex combat conditions, enhancing the overall readiness of the Ukrainian Armed Forces for combat missions.
