Comparative effectiveness of chemotherapy according to COP protocols in canine large cell lymphomas
Year: 2024
Type: article
Abstract: The article presents data from a comparative analysis of the effectiveness of chemotherapy using Low-dose COP and High-dose COP protocols for large cell lymphoma in dogs. Both treatment regimens include the use of the drugs vincristine, cyclophosphamide and prednisolone, but differ in the frequency and dosage of the drugs. The use of chemotherapy according to the Low-dose COP protocol causes more inconveniences and difficulties, including frequent visits by the owners of the veterinary clinic, as well as the likelihood of hemorrhagic cystitis. Chemotherapy according to the High-dose COP protocol showed the best effectiveness in large-cell lymphoma in dogs, since we noted a long period of remission and relief of metastasis formation processes. In addition, when using this chemotherapy tactic, the appearance of side symptoms was not noted.
