Abstract: A modern greenhouse includes a number of engineering systems allowing to control technological processes for maximizing the yield of crop production. However, the use of existing automatic control systems, designed mainly for industrial greenhouses with high production, seems impractical for small farms. In particular, the technological process that ensures high yields is water supply. The creation of an automatic control system for a pumping unit using programmable technical means, for example, industrial logic controllers (PLC), to compensate for uneven water consumption in greenhouses is quite prospective. To implement structured logic circuits in programming, it is important to develop control algorithms. This article presents an approach for the use of Business Process Model and Notation to represent algorithms for controlling a pumping plant for greenhouse water supply. The method allows to record in detail all the stages of the process, and improve the visualization of the sequence of steps and the logic of actions.
