Periconceptional Support with Micronutrients: a New Paradigm of a Personalized Approach
Year: 2024
Type: article
Abstract: The current unfavorable demographic situation in the Russian Federation dictates the need to find reserves to improve perinatal outcomes and increase fertility. Due to the fact that the birth of a healthy child is largely determined by the lifestyle of the expectant mother, primarily the nature of nutrition, the most important components of counseling at the pre-pregnancy stage are the assessment and optimization of a woman's diet with subsequent adjustment of the micronutrient status. The review provides a scientific justification for the safety and effectiveness of the use of various vitamins, minerals and trace elements in the periconceptional period, taking into account the personal needs of a woman.
