Year: 2024
Type: article
Abstract: Scholars of traditional and popular lyric poetry often highlight the limited pool of shared poetic resources that various authors draw upon to create their songs. Among these resources, the motif stands out for its enduring presence over the centuries. Studying these motifs and their treatments by different poetic schools reveals the exchanges between oral traditions and printed works from the 16th to the 20th century.
