Principles of andragogy in the aspect of teaching Russian as a foreign language in intensive training courses

Abstract: The article is devoted to the principles of andragogy as a developing part of general pedagogy in the context of teaching Russian as a foreign language (RFL). The purpose of the study is to determine the principles of andragogy that are most applicable in teaching RFL and to develop an effective lesson structure based on them. In the article, the authors compare the principles of teaching, select effective methods of working with adult learners in RFL lessons. The focus is on aspect-based teaching in intensive training courses for adult students, so the authors elaborate on the lesson plan, which is based on the principles of andragogy, and provide recommendations on aspect-based work with adult learners. Until now, the principles of andragogy have been considered as a whole in application to teaching foreign languages, including Russian linguistics, but the andragogical methods of work in aspect teaching have not been traced. Thus, the scientific novelty lies in the identification of effective andragogical techniques in the aspect teaching of RFL. As a result of the analysis of the andragogical concepts and principles of RFL teaching, the authors identify the most relevant teaching methods and develop an example of a practical lesson based on the principles of andragogical teaching.
