Abstract: The title indicates exactly the subject of the present article. In its first part it offers a gloss on the content of the sermon Denis 3 (=228B), a Eucharist Easter catechesis attributed to St. Augustine. Since the Augustinian authenticity of the sermon has been under suspicion by many scholars, in the sencod part of the study we take a position on the matter. The arguments adduced are, together with some formal aspects, the structure of the sermon and the logic of the discourse, without forgetting the divergences with other catechesis whose Augustiniana authenticity is admitted.
