Abstract: The report proposed a new architecture of the software and technical environment for mastering by students of specialty 174 "Automation, computer-integrated technologies and robotics" of methods and means of practical application of the industrial Internet of Things in the automation of production based on the concept of "Industry 4.0". Unlike the existing ones, the new software and technical environment is built on the basis of online information services of Google, software tools of Microsoft "Office 365" and the information and educational environment "Virtual Chemical Production", which allows students to more effectively form modern professional competencies in in the form of professional knowledge that is not articulated (practical skills, experience, intuition).
