Type: article
Abstract: Subway spaces have increasingly become a vital medium for showcasing urban culture, city image, and urban charm. The evolution of public art design in subway spaces has not only propelled the role of subways beyond that of mere transportation tools but also, through the long-term influence of art, has nurtured urban construction and development. This paper takes Luoyang Metro Line 1 as a case study, analyzes the current state of public art design in the subway space based on field investigations, and combines the results of these analyses for a systematic summary and in-depth reflection on the design of public art in subway spaces.
