Abstract: Educational auditing and counselling are formal and interdependent processes that foster continuous improvement within educational processes. Auditing monitors and evaluates pedagogical and management processes based on national educational standards. At the same time, counselling is a technical action of a professional nature whose main function is to guide institutional management. In order to achieve educational excellence in the "Cardinal Richard Cushing" school, we proposed the design of an improvement plan to optimize the management of educational processes based on the evaluation of educational quality standards. In order to achieve this objective, a qualitative approach and action-research methodological design were used. The main results indicate that the institution has an organizational culture oriented towards quality, however, a small percentage of standards requires further analysis to suggest improvement actions that are aligned with this organizational culture.
