Abstract: Terrazzo patterns have traditionally been used for architectural finishing and are now widely used in graphic design.However, manually implementing Terrazzo's irregular patterns is time-consuming and complex, so we aim to streamline this process with generative AI.This paper designed the main characteristics of terrazzo patterns, such as the size and arrangement of chips, color, and texture, as prompts and input them to AI, generated various styles of terrazzo patterns, and applied them to application design.It was confirmed that the generated pattern was an original and organic image and could be used in application design.In particular, iterative prompting and post-editing helped us achieve the desired quality of results.Generative AI is a tool that can improve design efficiency and creativity, and it's believed to help designers break away from repetitive tasks and focus on creative work.This study shows the potential for AI to increase creativity and productivity in the graphic design domain, and points to the possibility of more common collaboration between humans and AI technologies in the future.
