Abstract: The research explores the structure of the Salafi character in the novel 'Al-Salafi' by the Egyptian writer Ammar Ali Hassan, given that Salafi thought is one of the controversial issues in our contemporary reality, due to the events associated with its prevalence, and researching this ideology does not imply endorsement or condemnation of it, as much as it reveals its features in the Arab mind that opposes it, through examining one of the literary works that attempted to depict the characteristics, natures, behaviors, and ideas of the Salafi personality, as seen from the perspective of the author, which reflects the viewpoint of many people. The controversy surrounding the Salafi personality stems from its intellectual and psychological formation, as well as from factors related to events and ideas attributed to its advocates and followers of its movement. Media scrutiny also plays a role in tracing its trajectory, holding it responsible for many events occurring in the Arab, regional, and global political and social realities.
