La Chiesa Avventista Del Settimo Giorno E Nicea (325)

Year: 2024
Type: article
Abstract: While the Churches that are members of the Ecumenical Council of Churches and the Catholic Church show great interest in the celebration of the 1700th anniversary of the Council of Nicaea (325), attributing it a special value with respect to the ecumenical journey, the Seventh-day Adventist Church does not seem interested in participating in this commemoration. In fact, the attitude nurtured by the Adventist Church is rooted in historical positions that the article analyses. Moreover, the Adventist Church, while not attributing any founding value to the Council of Nicaea, has over the decades settled on a Trinitarian position, contained in its fundamental doctrines, consonant with the Nicene Creed.
