Abstract: This study examines children’s cooperation within the Yurakare community of Bolivia, focusing on joint action among three children. It employs a two-time scale approach, analyzing macro-level cultural activities over the course of weeks and micro-level interactions on the level of seconds. Findings reveal that cooperation among children is characterized by minimal verbal communication and a significant reliance on nonverbal channels in facilitating collaboration. Leadership behaviors, exhibited by older children, complement group dynamics. The study advocates for a processual perspective on child development, emphasizing the importance of observational methods and descriptive analysis.
