Building a Wellness Culture at the Penn State Ross and Carol Nese College of Nursing: A Case Study
Year: 2024
Type: article
Abstract: A wellness culture in academia is essential for addressing the mental health of faculty and students. This case study at a large, major research university demonstrates the integration of wellness programming into the curriculum and college environment. Initial implementation of wellness in the curriculum resulted in a wellness toolkit. The toolkit includes resources for integrating wellness into daily academic life and promoting long-term mental health benefits. This model of wellness integration can serve as a template for other academic institutions and diverse professional healthcare places of work aiming to foster a supportive and healthy environment.
