The Experience of Using Genetic Saliva Studies for Early Diagnosis of Breast Cancer
Year: 2024
Type: article
Abstract: The results of the research conducted by the authors of the article indicate that saliva screening can provide information about the presence of mutations in genes associated with predisposition to breast cancer in close relatives of patients with diagnosed breast cancer. This makes it possible to identify the disease at an early stage and assess the molecular heterogeneity. The combination of genetic testing of saliva and blood can become the basis for the development of effective screening and diagnostic tactics.
