Abstract: Ayurveda, the ancient science of life, emphasizes health promotion and disease prevention through holistic approaches.Among its eight specialized branches, Agada Tantra focuses on the management of toxins and their effects on the body.A novel concept within this branch, Dooshivisha, describes low-potency toxins that persist in the body, disrupting Doshas and Dhatus under favorable conditions.This concept provides a framework for understanding the cumulative toxicity leading to chronic diseases like cancer.In modern times, exposures such as mobile radiation and environmental pollutants can be correlated with Dooshivisha.The pathophysiology of cancer, characterized by Dhatwagni imbalance and Dhatu vitiation, aligns with the Ayurvedic description of toxin-induced diseases.Through detoxifying and protective therapies, Agada Tantra offers a promising adjunctive approach to cancer management.
