Chips in the 21st Century: Is the Revolution Over?

Year: 2024

Type: article

Abstract: The great era of electronic revolution in the 20th century brought incredible changes in all aspects of our lives. From science and industry to everyday life, health, education, and entertainment, all aspects have been tremendously impacted forever. Chiplets or chips, or microchips, are the very heart of the new, digital era, and we cannot even imagine life without them. Electronics taken out of our lives would lead to a real nightmare scenario, impacting industries, medical procedures (e.g., surgeries), power plant operations, and our lives would be expulsed back in time.
