Abstract: We are writing this letter to share our recent findings on the focal modulation effects of High-Definition (4x1-Ring configuration)-Transcranial Alternating Current Stimulation (HD-tACS). High-Definition Transcranial Electrical Stimulation (HD-tES) is a modified montage setup designed to enhance the focality of the stimulation. Simulation studies have demonstrated that the 4x1-Ring configuration can confine current dispersion and effectively activate cortical excitability with minimal current spread beyond the stimulation area [1-3].
