This article investigates the correlation between the mental health of school-going children and the principles of positive psychology. The paper analyses the ways in which optimism, resilience, emotional regulation, and strengths-based interventions are utilized to promote mental well-being in children by examining fundamental concepts of positive psychology. The article emphasizes the potential of fostering positive psychological characteristics in school environments to prevent mental health challenges, improve emotional and social adjustment, and improve academic performance. The article indicates that the incorporation of positive psychology strategies into school curricula and mental health programs can be instrumental in the establishment of supportive and mentally healthy environments for children, thereby enhancing their overall development and well-being.
