Abstract: In the article, various methods used in ABR are discussed, which allow for reaching children's ways of experiencing the world. I assume that the goal of ABR is to create projects that convey specific knowledge about the world and the inner experiences of others, but also to catalyze new research questions and present research results to a wide range of audiences, including children. I will also focus on other functions of ABR (evocative, emancipatory, and participatory) in research conducted with children. I will discuss examples of visual, movement, and verbal ABR techniques (e.g. drawings, photographs, narratives, poetry, performance) in childhood research and point out their main advantages and problems that the researcher may encounter while conducting such research.
