Year: 2024
Type: article
Abstract: The biblical foundations of human dignity and good treatment of people are presented based on biblical texts, especially the golden rule in Matthew 7:12, and offers an analysis of the text and its pastoral application. The text of Matthew 7:11-14, which has its synoptic correlation in Luke 6:31, and its Old Testament basis in the text of the book of Tobias 4:15, presents the golden rule of human behavior focused on a context of prayer and search for the Kingdom of God. From biblical reflection there are some perspectives that reinforce the culture of good treatment as an art in strengthening the prevention of sexual abuse of minors through the recognition of the legitimacy of the person. Thus, a path of coexistence between everyone, adults and children, is presented, as well as the value of an ethical dimension of healthy and integrated relationships.
