Abstract: The article reveals a detailed description of the process of forming patriotic values for cadets based on educational and ideological patterns and principles based on the traditions of the Institute of Heroes of the Great Steppe. On the basis of the traditions of the Institute of batyrs of the Great Steppe, the goals and objectives of the interrelated organizational, informational, substantive and productive stage of the methodology for the formation of patriotic values of cadets are revealed. It was determined that the methods and techniques used in the formation process were directed. In directing cadets to love their homeland, respect for their native land, glorify the value of the best traditions of ancestors, strengthen friendship for peace among peoples in the world, the structural nature of the methodological manual developed by the author is given, aimed at the needs of the socio-cultural situation
