Abstract: An investment refers to an item or asset purchased with the expectation of generating income or increasing in value over time. Appreciation occurs when the value of the asset rises. The survey is based on a convenience sample of 431 respondents chosen to better understand individual investors' mutual fund purchasing habits. The article describes the many attributes that investors deem vital while investing in mutual funds. The two most important underlying factors extracted are the fund's credibility and its miscellaneous traits. The link between these characteristics and demographic variables is determined.
