Abstract: In this study, short circuit charge, current, voltage, and power of triboelectric nanogenerators made of different materials are studied theoretically, guiding to finding optimal material to be used for specific applications. An experiment was performed to validate the theory. Surface defects was a major reason for the deviation from theory as well as the presence of charge leakage and parasitic capacitance not considered in the theoretical studies.
