Abstract: Background. The article is devoted to the analysis of geochemical features of hydrocarbon systems within the Euphrates graben located in the Middle East. Objective. To correlate oils produced from various reservoirs in the region. Materials and methods. Using statistical methods, the studied oil samples were divided into separate clusters to obtain information on the correlation, classification and distribution of oils. Results. A comprehensive geochemical study of hydrocarbon systems within the Euphrates graben made it possible to identify individual oil families and determine the features of their geographic and stratigraphic distribution. Conclusions. The data obtained provide valuable information on the genesis, migration routes and formation of hydrocarbon deposits within the Euphrates graben for oil exploration and production in the region.
