Abstract: The popularity of e-sports and the amount of time spent globally on computer use has been steadily growing in recent years. This trend is associated with numerous health-related consequences, some of which manifest relatively quickly, while the emergence of others is typically linked to years of engagement in these activities. Among the most common ailments and conditions occurring in the e-sports population are those related to the wrist and thumb joints, ocular symptoms, spinal pain, and mental health disorders. In this paper, in addition to highlighting the risks particularly frequent in the described population, attention is also given to the prevention and treatment of health problems resulting from excessive computer use.
