Abstract: The article presents theoretical and empirical studies of family resilience. The application of ecological theory and systems approach to the study of family resilience phenomena is substantiated. The social model of research is considered as a methodological basis for the emergence of interest in human resilience and, later, family resilience. Data on the study of family psychology in Russia and in the West, the results of the study of the role of the family in the formation of human resilience are provided.
