Abstract: The current research is concerned with Sayed Ali Abdul Hakeem Al Safi’s social and scientific upbringing. He is considered one of the prominent figures in Al Hawza in Basrah. He has a considerable impact in the formation of the religious and intellectual awareness in the city. He was qualified since childhood with distinguished ways of thinking and innovation. He started his scientific and academic journey in Al Hawza. He was taught under the supervision of some great tutors and thinkers. Thus, this period was regarded essential in forming his religious and intellectual persona which was later affecting positively people in Basrah. He, thus, represented the religious trend in Basrah. He always attempted to disseminate ethical issues and values among people.
