Abstract: This study proposes a competency-based learning system for skill development in the use of Lean Manufacturing tools within the Manufacturing Systems course of the Industrial Engineering program. The research emphasizes educational innovation by addressing deficiencies in practical learning strategies and teaching methodologies to align learning outcomes with industry demands. Through a robust diagnostic process involving observations, interviews, and surveys, the proposed system incorporates competency-based activities focused on practical problem-solving. The scientific and methodological validation of this system demonstrates its potential to enhance educational outcomes in industrial engineering by bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and practical application.
