Abstract: Gender differences in language and speech are the subject of interest in many linguistic studies. They can manifest at various levels of language: phonetic, lexical, word-formation, morphological, syntactic, pragmatic-communicative. The aim of this study is to identify differences in the speech of two lecturers (I. Levontina and M. Krongauz) at various levels of language and to understand how these differences may influence the perception and understanding of the information presented. This paper analyzes gender differences in scientific (academic) discourse based on two video lectures delivered by a man and a woman. A comprehensive approach was used in the study, covering various levels of language structure. The content analysis was conducted in three directions: speech structure analysis, linguistic analysis across language levels, analysis of pragmatics and the communicative situation. The study concludes that Russian scientific discourse, despite certain gender differences, is more or less neutral compared to everyday, advertising and other discourses. The practical significance of this study lies in the fact that its results can be used to improve communication in the scientific field, as well as for developing training and educational programs aimed at overcoming gender stereotypes in language.
