Analysis of selected economic data of Polish paper processing enterprises in comparison to total manufacturing

Abstract: This study focuses on the analysis of the dynamics of selected economic data and indicators describing the economic condition of paper processing industry enterprises compared to total manufacturing. The results of the analysis showed that the lowest dynamics of selected economic data in 2019-2020 for both sectors was recorded. The paper processing industry achieved the highest dynamics of net financial result and total revenues in 2021 and 2022; the dynamics of the examined values was slightly lower than observed for total manufacturing. In 2021-2022 a clear upward trend in profitability indicators was observed – values of return of equity and net profitability turnover indicators were at a higher level than in total manufacturing.
