Abstract: This review article discusses Political Changes and Transformations in Twentieth and Twenty-first Century Children’s Literature, edited by Bettina Kümmerling-Meibauer and Farriba Schulz (2023). The volume aims to consolidate international, interdisciplinary discourse on how political and cultural shifts in the European political landscape of the 20th and 21st centuries have influenced children’s and young adult literature. The author of the article provides a critical overview of the volume’s 17 contributions.
