Mapping of Potential Lignocellulosic Biomass in Bahian Scenario for Biochar Production Via Pyrolysis
Year: 2024
Type: conference-paper
Abstract: "This article presents an evaluation of the main lignocellulosic biomassesavailable in Bahia to produce biochar via pyrolysis, through a survey of academicliterature. Among the biomasses studied are coconut shells, corn cobs, orange peels, rice straw and sugarcane bagasse, with the criteria for evaluation being: lignin content, annual production quantity/ generation and location of the main producing regions. Itwas identified that sugarcane bagasse, corn cob and coconut husk are the mostpromising biomasses for biochar production, within the Bahian scenario."
