Abstract: In Religious Education (RE), it is not possible to talk about the role of religion today without addressing the concept of secularization. Using an explorative methodology, this article explores the potential of approaching key topics in RE, in this case secularization, with a narrative approach. The article presents four narratives of secularization and explores their possible implications based on research literature on RE.
